March 17,
It was a beautiful day today. Christi and Grace came over so that we could go for a walk on the tow path. The original plan was to head to the zoo, but I had a major back spasm earlier in the morning. I didn't really want to push myself plus every time I picked up Gavin my back went into even more spasm. He doesn't even weigh that much! We played outside a little also. Then a little before dinner time Gavin started acting cranky and clingy which is very unlike him. At dinner, his lips looked a little blue, but I figured he was just a little cool since I had all the windows open earlier. As soon as we sat in the rocking chair, he was out like a light on my shoulder, again very unlike him. I noticed his respiration rate was fast and I made Sean came home. Gavin was exhausted and even Sean thought he was not acting like himself. After talking with the nurse, we headed to Hilcrest pediatric ER. After a breathing treatment, chest x-rays, some nose swaps, and a vomit covered mama and baby we took a very sleepy baby home with no real diagnosis. Sean went back to work and Gavin and I slept together in bed. Thankfully when he woke up the next morning he was back to his smiley self.
wow, very scary, I did not know and I am so glad he is well. Sounds like something small was caught in his airway. Did he get better after he vomited? Did they find out what may have caused this problem???
ReplyDeleteSorry you guys had to go through that.
