10/30/09

Could I possibly add any more into today? I woke about 4:30 this morning hearing Gavin saying Mommy...Mommy Momma Moma..When I went into his room he was sleeping and talking. Since I was already out of bed. I figured I would just stay up. I checked my email and a few favorite blogs, I worked out, scrapbook, and got ready for work. As I was leaving, Sean was just getting up. During my lunch break I headed to Target for a few items I needed for tomorrow and some cleaning items. At work I was able to catch up on all of my old paper work. As I drove home, I made a few phone calls. When I got home, I was exhausted. I laid on the couch and rested for about 10-15 minutes until I heard Gavin wake up from his nap saying Mommy... We then had a super busy evening. Sean made homemade pizza for dinner, I assembled a corn fritter for tomorrow so all I have to do is throw it in the oven, I made homemade gingerbread cupcakes with pumpkin frosting also to take to Sheila's tomorrow. We carved our pumpkins and took an evening walk altogether. It is so warm tonight. Too bad Trick or Treating wasn't tonight. Then I gave Gavin a bath and put him to bed. Load of laundry done. Sean went in to work overtime. I am heading to take a shower then to bed. As I have to work again tomorrow atleast just half of a day. Whew. An end to a good day.

Sean decided to dress Malakai up with items in our donate box.

294

My favorite time of year. Happy Fall

293

We went to the farmer's stand at the end of the street. I am not quite sure why, but we have never gone there. Gavin had fun picking up rocks, trying to pick up the wheel barrel of gourds, hay maze, playing in the century old barn, holding mini pumpkins, and the corn maze. I also find out they do organic farming. Fantastic information for next growing season!

292

What a beautiful day! Finally the sun is shining and we were able to have Nate take our family pictures outside. Gavin did not sit very long but hopefully we got a few good ones. Gavin is obsessed with Elmo and Sesame Street. He requests to watch regularly so I often distract him to do other things. We work hard not watching tv every day. There is better things to do!

291

I am so in love with this little boy. He is just a picture of God's Love and innocence. He is here for God's purpose. I look forward to watching Gavin fulfill HIS will.

290

Rock walls in the dining room, Water tables in the shower, and cars in the family room. Our house is not ours anymore. Gavin has hard time coming inside so to make the transition smoother Gavin "drove" his car into the family room. He loved and not one fuss about coming inside.

289

This is our Rajah beark aka Raji as Gavin calls her. She turned 12 in August which is quite rare for a Rotte. We have had her since she was 10 weeks old. Her age is finally catching up with her. She just recently has turned very white in the face and her rear legs aka side legs have gotten very weak. Malakai and Rajah now sleep in the laundry room to limit how much she has to climb the stairs. Although we do have her climb the stairs once a day and walk twice day to keep her active. She eats special food, lots of pills and is on a strict exercise regiment. :o) There is a study called Lucky 13 for rottes who live to 13. We are hoping that Rajah gets to be apart of it.

This is the humidifier Papi picked up for Gavin. Sean was at work and our old humidifier is broken. Thank God for such a helpful family.

We unfortunately have cancelled our fun plans to go to PA this weekend as Gavin is still not feeling well and running a low grade fever. Mostly, he is still very congested. This is the first time Gavin has really been sick. Last December Gavin ran a high temperature 102 for two days, but nothing else. Sean and I have taken steamy showers with Gavin to help his nose drain. He even lets squeachy his nose. Sean was on sick duty while I went to work. It was hard to go to work when I knew Gavin was not feeling well.

286

Super low key day with Mommy and Daddy home.

285

Gavin spent the morning with Papi while Sean went to work and I completed my second day of orientation at the clinic. Before I left I told Sean I heard Gavin coughing. He teased me saying I just wanted Gavin to wake up so I can see him. On my way home Sean texted me to say that Gavin was getting sick. When I got home, Papi said Gavin had not been is overly energized self and wanted to watch Sesame Street most of the morning. Which is so not like him. He usually will watch 15 min and then he is up and playing. Later my dad stopped at target to pick up a new humidifier as the other one we had broke. Gavin was super cuddly. Needless to say the long to do list I made this morning did not even get one scratch off. I would rather cuddle with Gavin anyway.

284

Gavin picked these pumpkins out the first time we went to Mapleside from the "Chinese" pumpkin patch. He plays with them all of the time: putting them in and out of baskets, balancing on Mater, carrying them everywhere. We then picked up gourds at Patterson's and he plays with those too.

283

More hat weather = more hats.

282

I worked this morning so Gavin went with Nana, Papi, Eddie, Aureilija, Anthony, and Erica to Mapleside. Nana and Papi said you were great and ate a ton of food. Later Mackenzie came over. Gavin had a blast with her. Of course, Mackenzie was fantastic with him. She has such an imagination. She read Gavin his bed time stories. After Gavin went to bed, Mackenzie, the dogs and I sat on the couch and watched Hannah Montana the movie! I hope she had as much fun as we did.

281

Sean came across this little tikes climber for a price he could not pass up. Today Gavin and Sean put it together and now has become a new piece of furniture in our dining room. Gavin, of course adores it!

280

After work today, Gavin helped me make pumpkin cookies. As soon as he sees me bring out my mixer he is pulling the chair over to "help". Gavin's will dump the ingredients in the bowl and we always make a major mess. This time he like to eat the pumpkin.

279

Yesterday was such a busy fun filled day with lots of great pictures. We went to Patterson's Farm, Rory came over and Sean cut Gavin's hair with the clippers for the first time. He looks like such a big boy!

278

Another funny Gavin moment. Rory came over with Halby her new Yorkie puppy. Gavin loved her! He wanted to pick her up and put her in his dump truck, but of course she wouldn't stay. He kept saying puppy up, puppy up. Once he placed her gently in his truck he would say "Tay" (meaning stay!)

277

Nicer day today so we went for a walk at Brecksville Metroparks. Gavin's favorite activity is to through rocks into the water. He enjoys doing his own version on the exercise obstacle courses too.

276

More walks, more hats. This hat used to be his cousin Leland's hat.

275

Sean went to WV to pick up this camper. Gavin, Nana, Papi, Ma-Ha, and Erica went to Mapleside. It was a bit cold, but Gavin had fun regardless. He gets so excited...WOW is his favorite expression. He has so much enthusiasm in everything he does. He is such a joy to be around. His excitement is contagious.

274

Gavin and I put up some fall decorations this week.

273

It is hat weather again around here...

272

It was pretty chilly today but we decided to bundle Gavin and head to the park for a little bit today for fresh air. Afterwards we did some grocery shopping. It was such a nice evening.

271

We went to find a Halloween costume for Gavin. The three of us..well Sean and I had alot of fun. Gavin was hilarious. Whatever costume he put on, he looked at himself in the mirror and made the animal noise. As he was wearing the monkey costume he was hanging from the bar in the dressing room. I had such a hard laugh at him. These were two of the options but we went with a different costume.

We hung out with Grace this morning. Gavin and Grace play so well together! WE enjoy having her around.javascript:void(0)

269

Gavin loves to brush, brush brush. It is serious business! And we have to watch extra careful that when he is down that he doesn't use his toothbrush to scrub the bathroom floor.

268

I DVR Sesame street during the week. so Sat am Gavin and I wake up slow by watching Sesame Street. Gavin drinking his milk, Mama drinking tea cuddling under the blanket. Gavin only watches about 15-20 min of it before he is off playing. He likes to sit on his rocking horse and watch it too. He likes when "mELMO" comes on. We let Daddy sleep in because he got home at 3 am.

268

More trouble in paradise. The motor home needed to be towed, a new something or other (transmission, perhaps? something expensive to replace) So Sean is on his way home a day early missing out on some riding and he will have to go back to WV to pick the thing up.

268

Gavin we can't go outside right now you don't have any shoes on (or pants for that matter) About 1 minute later this is what I see...

267

For dinner Gavin ate Organic Mac and Cheese. (Amy's brand taste as close to home made as you get, you know made with real cheese not processed crap!) Gavin inhaled the stuff. I also think it is so cute that he is holding the bowl with his other hand to keep the bowl still. Eating Mac and Cheese is serious business.

266

Sean is off to WV for the week. He started his trip by going white water rafting. Well the motor home hit a glich and somehow (Sean knows the details, I only pay attention to the outcome) hot fluid shot out all over Sean's shin and feet leaving some disgusting second degree burn. Gross!

264

Where is that child's work permit? Gavin and Sean stacked wood while I went for run and met my mom for a walk. Going for a run over towards my parents and meeting my mom for a walk is going to be a new Sunday routine!

263

I spend so much time at my desk doing a variety of different activities: paying bills, updating our computer calendar which is synced to our iphones, grocery list writing, to-do list writing, editing photos, digital scrapbooking, online shopping, recycling paper, journaling, searching for new music on itunes, checking email, catching up on tv shows etc. This is my hub. I love to organize so why does my hub look like this? It drives me crazy. it is by the main entrance of our home so stuff gets piled here. I clean this desk so often. I am also saving up for a new desk and shelf.

262

Gavin coloring although at this point he is more interested in taking the crayons in and out of the box.

261

Another sign of fall in our house sometimes Sean even starts at the end of summer is wood for the wood burning fire place. This year Sean put Gavin to work. Gavin, the little worker bee he is, loved it of course!

260

Gavin and I spent a few minutes "dead heading" the mums. Gavin was taking off the flowers half the time, but he loves to "help"

259

The Faux Hawk is getting longer!

258

Yumo! My first non fat no whip pumpkin spice latte of the fall season. My favorite.

257

Today was Eddie and Aurelija's baby shower. Everything was nice and I think they got everything they needed.
