Jan 31
Gavin sportin' his new kicks and currently my favorite shirt. They look so cute on him. (HIs shirt has a happy man on it and it says Mr. Happy) Gavin is Mr. Happy! Gavin and I ventured out to swimming lessons today without Sean. We survived! Although it is way harder to undress, dress a wet baby and then bundle him up with just one person and get dressed your self. I suppose I need to master multitasking!

Jan 30

We bought Gavin is first pair "shoes". I love these shoes and the orange laces. I am so glad to finally see something other than blue or brown for boys. These shoes have orange red and green! Such happy colors in the middle of snowy Cleveland winter!

Gavin took his first steps today! When I came home from work today, Sean and Gavin were playing. Gavin got excited when he saw me and took 5 steps to me! He did it 2 more times, but naturally when we pulled out the video camera he refused!

Jan 28,
Look out! Gavin and I were snowed in AGAIN. About 12-13 inches of snow fell today as a result Gavin and I did some cooking today. So we all know that I am a shorty consequently I use things like step stools to reach my top cabinets. Well I turned around for 30 seconds and super quick low and behold there is Gavin standing on my stool. For Pete Sake, Gavin keeps me on my toes!

Put your hands up! Up in the club, we just broke up and I'm doing my own little thing...

This is Gavin dancing to Beyonce's new song. He loves it or perhaps he loves because I love it. Whenever he hears it he looks for me and then starts dancing. He even heard it to day when it was the background music for some tv show. He even puts his hands up!

Work day for me while Sean and Gavin hang at home. I can't believe how big Gavin is getting and how fast time is going by. I feel like I make the most of every moment and enjoy each stage. We have about 5000 pictures of Gavin (no exaggerations ) but I do need to take more pictures of Gavin and me and pictures of the three of us.

By the way, this is the kind of events that occur while I am gone. Gavin is wearing Rajah's collar like a belt, wearing Sean's earmuff as if Gavin is a DJ, and using the telephone like a teenager. Oh brother!

Jan 25
Today Gavin and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Chamberlin to visit Gavin's friend Braiden and Avery. This was the first time we got to see the Bruce and Samantha's twin. They really have been through alot, but have the boys have come along way. I look forward to when they get to play more. It is too bad they live in Columbus. Gavin was very funny. He got jealous when HIS GRANDMA was holding another baby! He gave Braiden a look like "Hey buddy, that's my Grandma and I don't want to share!

Jan 24
Today ended up being a busy day. Sean surprised me with Starbucks this morning on his way home from work. Yum! I got my hair cut then the three of us went to meet Christi and Grace for swimming. Of course Gavin loved it!!! Although I want to know why it is either a snow blizzard or -32 degrees on swim day? After swimming Gavin got to play with Cameron who came to visit him from Columbus. Gavin was a little concerned about having to share his play area with another person!

Jan 23
Gavin woke up today at 5:45 which I expected because he went to bed so early. However what was unexpectedly was Gavin and I cuddled for 30 min this morning. He gave me lots of hugs, squeezes, and kisses. He was so content letting me hug and kiss me back. I just soaked it up because he starting to be way to interested in exploring the world than cuddling with me! As Aunt Carrie calls him, he is GO-GO Gavin. When I got home from work, we finally got an opportunity to walk the dogs. It was 42 degrees which is a heat wave compared to the high being 15 which it has been for over week. Tomorrow it is back to the deep freeze!

Jan 22
Gavin had another day with Grandma today and I finally got a picture of the two of them. Good thing I got home early today. I was able to take a shower when I got home from work which was a MUST! I wouldn't touch Gav until I washed away all of the flu germs away from work. (Because of the flu we have had no new admits for 4 days!) Gav went to bed at 6 pm! I need more time with him especially days when I go to work!

Jan 21
Hanging out with my boys today. I love being home with them. I can't believe how big Gavin is getting. He is showing more and more signs of being a toddler and not a baby.

21/365

Jan 20
We were all home today! Gavin pulled out one of his toy drawers and decided to sit on it. Sometimes he even pull them and stands on them!

Jan 19
Gavin hung out with Grandma today while mama and daddy went to work. Unfortunately mommy got home super late because we were so busy at work today. I only got about 45 minutes of Gavin time before he needed to go to bed!

Jan 18,
Can I have that camera, mama? I want to take the pictures! If Gavin could talk, I am pretty sure that is what he would say. He is becoming Mr. Independent. He is already starting to want to do everything himself! My baby is turning into a toddler!

Jan 17, 2008
Another cold day, but thankfully not as cold. Today was the first day of Gavin's swim lesson. Christi, Grace, Gavin and I got into the nice warm pool while the Daddy's watched and took pictures. Even though this picture is out of focus, I love it! For the first 10 minutes Gavin was analyzing every little detail and then he started to have fun. He love sitting on the edge of the pool and sliding into my arms. He even started to clap while sitting on the edge! He really did not want to get out!

Later on, Sean and I went to dinner and to a bar for Jaime's 30th birthday. I was supper excited to give her birthday present~ a Patagonia bracelet and charm!

Jan 16,
It is soooo cold. I believe today we live in Antartica. I woke up to the temperature being -7! That was the acutal temperature! With the wind chill, it was -32! Summer anyone??? Thankfully Gavin stayed nice and warm by the fire with Grandma, while Sean and I went to work.

Jan 15
While I was at work Sean sent up the tents and tunnels that we bought Gavin yesterday at Costco. I wanted to buy him the a fire engine tent and tunnel but we couldn't pass the price up at Costco. Sean took some great pictures of Gavin playing. I love being able to go to work knowing that Sean is with Gavin. Sean worked really hard while I went to PT school, but to have the schedule we have know is worth it. God has truly blessed us!

15/365

Sean Gavin and I went to Costco and Trader Joes this afternoon and the stubborn person that I am insisted that we go after Gavin's afternoon nap. Well this back fired because we hit rush hour on the way home and about 3 inches of snow had fallen. It took us over an hour to get home!

Jan 13
I finally was able to buy the digital proofs from our wedding only 5 1/2 years later. Before now the photographer would not let us buy the digital copies of our photos. We were only able to buy prints and a 4 x 6 print cost $30.00. Now don't get me wrong, they did a great job. I love our photos, but we paid over $5000.00 for our pictures the least they could do was give us the copy rights to our pictures. Anyway, atleast now I will be able to hang up a few of my favorites!

Jan 12
So I have been consumed with this blog:
http://www.audreycaroline.blogspot.com/
Sean tell me I am addicted, which is the truth, but how could I not be? I came across Angie's blog, by searching for a way to store project 365. It just goes to show you how HE does everything to pull you closer to HIM. I have started from the beginning of Angie's family story and I am in love with her and her love for HIM. When I read Audrey's story I feel the HOLY SPIRIT. I am on the May 2008 posts. I cry, I feel her pain and yet I learn so much from her faith and how I strive to have that type of relationship with HIM. Audrey's story is an amazing example of what the Lord does.

Jan 11
There were a few good pictures today so it was hard to pick just one. Today Gavin went sledding for the first time. Only for about 15 minutes in our yard, but we all had alot of fun. Later we went to Anthony's birthday party where I took this picture. Sean and Gavin with Jeremy and Jake. It's the "mini me" group.

Jan 10
Today was suppose to be the first day of mommy and me swim class with Christi and Grace however mother nature had another idea. Instead Gavin played in the snow for the first time even though it was only for 10 minutes.

Jan 9
Get that weak stuff outta here!! Sean and I watched the Cavs pounce the Celtics. Go Cavs!

Jan 8
I love baby feet, but tonight this was the only clean part of Gavin after dinner. Gavin really is starting to prefer to feed himself even his cereal and yogurt. He wants to use the spoon which really equates to food everywhere except in his belly. So we both get spoons during meal time.

Jan 7
A pretty productive day at home so to unwind I sat at the desk with the candle Eddie and Aurelija bought me, wrote out the schedule for Carol and did some meal prep. I love to read cook books!

Jan 6
We are all home together on a Tuesday! I feel so blessed that we have such a wonderful schedule! In the evening Aunt Erica and Nana stopped by to play with Gavin for a little while.

Jan 5
Just one of the funny items of clothing Sean puts on Gavin, one of my winter hats. He didn't even mind that it was on his head

Cozy bed and wonderful surprise. Sean was about to leave for work when Gavin woke up at 7:15. Sean kindly brought him into bed so I could feed him, but surprise Gavin and I both fell back asleep. We didn't wake up until 10:00. What a great way to start a Sunday!

Jan 3
All three of us were home today with nothing particular to do. I love these type of days. We decided to run some shopping errands and last minute Nana and Papi decided to watch Gavin. So Sean and I got to go on a date! Gavin got to play with his fun-loving, crazy Nana.

Jan 2
Leave the shoes at the door...Work day for mama! I love going to work and it is even better knowing Sean is at home with Gavin today! It so good for daddy bonding time. But the best part of the day is coming home to tight squeezes and wet kisses from Gavin. Although I have to take my shoes off before I come into the house and strip the scrubs so no hospital germs on Gav!

Jan 1
Sean went to work today while Gavin and I hung out at Nana and Papi's for the day. Gavin is really into all types of music so he loved when got to play the special drums with Papi.

I have decided to take a new approach to scrapbooking our family's story. I will be attempting to do project 365 in which I will be taking a picture everyday to capture our everyday life. I am going to use this blog to stay abreast on my daily journaling and then I will be putting these pictures in a scrapbook album

We had a very low key New Year's Eve. Since we did not get the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with Sean's Uncles and Grandpa, we went to visit them. Gavin opened his gifts from them and he really enjoyed playing with Uncle Gar and Uncle Ron. After our visit, we went home and Gav went to bed. Sean and I watched a movie of course I fell asleep on the couch. Sean kindly woke me up so we could bring in the new year together. No matter where I am or what I am doing, life is always great when I get to kiss Sean to start the new year!
